# Redeem a code

Add credit to a workspace with a promo code or prepaid voucher.

## In the portal

Open Settings, then Billing & Credits, and select Redeem a code. Enter the promo code or prepaid voucher. Redeeming needs permission to change billing. Promo credit can expire.

## From the CLI

Save the code in a file and run rzv billing codes redeem --code-file \<path\>. The command does not store the code.
