About

The story behind Runzivo.

CI runners should be a service you use, not a fleet you look after. This is why Runzivo exists.

Our story

Why I built Runzivo

I spent years building delivery platforms for other companies, and then a cloud of our own. Runzivo is what came next.

  1. 2022

    ZSoftly

I founded ZSoftly, a Canadian public and private cloud company with a professional services team.

  2. Jun 2026

    What comes next?

With ZCP, our cloud platform, built, I did not want to stay at the core of the stack. People, and now their AI agents, expect to use everything as a service. I wanted to build one of those services.

  3. Sep 2026

    Pre-seed and the first commit

A CAD 25,000 pre-seed round: CAD 15,000 from me and CAD 10,000 in cloud credits from ZSoftly. Building started on 13 September.

  4. Oct 2026

    Incorporated and live

Runzivo Technologies Inc. was incorporated in Ontario on 1 October. The rzv command-line tool shipped on 3 October, production went live in Early Access, and the AI features entered early access on 18 October.

  5. Next

    More compute, more choice

More kinds of compute as teams need them, and Runzivo as another place for your pipelines to run.

What I care about are the core things every business needs: a clear problem, a clear path to revenue, and one service you reach through a single API. Solve it well, and let people and their agents use it. No team should have to babysit a runner fleet next to its source code.

I also believe in redundancy. When one runner provider has a bad day, your pipelines should have another place to go. No single company should do it all. OpenAI and Anthropic push each other to be better, and CI deserves the same.

One job, done well

Runzivo runs GitHub Actions jobs on managed Linux runners. Change one runner label; each job gets a fresh microVM that is destroyed when it ends. Live in Early Access.

Made to be used, by people and agents

The portal, the rzv command-line tool and API keys give people and their tools the same way in. No fleet to install, patch or scale.

Another place to run

Runzivo can sit beside the runners you already use. When one provider has an outage, your pipelines still have somewhere to go.

Ditah Kumbong

Founder, Runzivo · DevOps Architect

Ditah Kumbong is a DevOps architect who builds the delivery platforms software teams ship through: CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and the automation that makes releases safe and repeatable.

Over the last five years that work has covered data visualization at Plotly, mortgage insurance at Sagen, internet infrastructure at CIRA and secure data rooms at Firmex. Along the way he has consulted for many more companies across healthcare, fintech, security and AI.

Different industries, the same problem every time: CI that waits in queues, shares runners between jobs, and needs someone to keep a fleet alive. Runzivo is his answer to it.

In 2022 Ditah founded ZSoftly, a Canadian public and private cloud company with a professional services team, and has led it since. He designs, builds, deploys and operates Runzivo end to end, from the runners to the platform to this website.

Outside work, Ditah is the father of a daughter, named after his mother, whom he cherishes with all his heart.

Ask Docs

Ask a question and open it in your AI assistant. The prompt tells it to answer from the Runzivo docs and link the pages it used.

Try asking

Your question opens in the assistant you pick, under its own terms. Runzivo does not see or store it.
